I got my x2.3lite working fine and dandy, except i noticed something wierd.
Every once and a bluemoon my xbox would bootup to a black screen. And sometimes when i just opend my xbox and sat it on the counter naked (just power and AV), it would show ani bios as a no ani bios, and switch banks for no reason! I thought this to be wierd, as it looked like the chip wasnt getting enough power..
So i checked LPC. Fine. (of course d0 was fine or i would frag). So i thought back, and then it struck me.
U S B.

When the xbox was being really gay (opposed to being kind of gay with its blank screen antics) it had no controller plugged in. So i thought to when my chip was working fine...i had all controller slots filled. So i did that, and it works now. I still get the black screen sometimes. That is why i say:

POOP ON THE X2.3a LITE and it retreiving power from the USB.

P.S Anyone know how i can fix this dilemma?

Is it a header pin or wire.

I would just like to say I was highly dissappointed with this thread. I was expecting so much from the title.

Well, I see I have two options here...

1. Continue the trend of making pointless posts which don't help at all... dry.gif
2. Help... blink.gif

The dilemma... choices, choices, choices... unsure.gif

Ok, take the two black wires that run to the USB power adapter, cut them, strip them and solder them to the 6th LPC point. Then ditch that crappy adapter...

just want to mention that if d0 wouldn't be ok the box wouldn't frag. it would start the original bios.

you can get around using the usb adapter. remove the wires from the usb adapter white plug thing. twist the wires together. solder this new creation to lpc 6 (where red wire if doing wire install goes.) problem solved. no more usb adapter. OOPS DIDN'T READ YOUR FULL POST LOOKFORME. WELL I JUST REPEATED EVERYTHING YOU SAID. MY BAD.
