I have read that all of the future consoles will be using PPC chips, but it looks like the xbox360 is going to be the most powerful

Is it possible that maybe hackers will get ps3, Nintendo Revolution code integrated into a new xbox360 dashboard? I do know that ps3 will be using blue laserso there maybe some difficulties there unless the games were ripped off a ps2 or something and put onto xbox360 hdd

I do realize this would be very futuristic and maybe some games would need the graphics toned down but I am just wondering if this is potentially possible or not

thanks

to put it simply, no. you aren't going to see ps3 or revolution games running on the 360. the only way this would be possible would be if there was an emulator to port over, and this isn't going to happen. its about as likely as seeing a ps2 or gc emu on the xbox any time soon. also, even if they all have PowerrPC's (which they don't), the ps3's cell cpu (not even very similar to a powerPC from what i understand) is nothing like the x360's tricore PowerPC processor. also, don't forget that the graphics cards will all be differant.

emulators for the next gen systems is way out there. bottom line is that you wont see one for a while. it will be a few years b4 the first emulator for one of those systems is out. that is for the pc though. it most likley like stated above that there will be NO emulator for ps3 or rev. for xbox360. there might be ps2, and game cube emulators for the the 360 but thats about it.

JUST REMEBER ONE THING: future gaming consoles have ALWAYS made the marketing for pc's change. After xbox was launched and the ps2, most new comps were using 800 mhz, and 128mb video chips etc.

expect computers in the future around less then a year when the first of those sys. is released to start matching there power. so if ur gonna purchase a pc soon i would wait if u could for anther year cuz pc's are going to get alot more powerful for the dollar

It isn't possible, The power of both the systems are almost equal making it impossible for one to emulate the other, on top of that the architecture and way the processors handle operations are completely different. I doubt we will even see one for the PC for years, they are just now starting to get a PS2 emu to work on a PC. Although a PS2 emu for the 360 is entirely possible. It is much stronger than the PC's out today so once they finalize the one for PC a one for 360 shouldn't be too hard, but it will still be a headache for whoever is creating it tongue.gif .
