And PoT for NDS is less then 50mb and superior in every way too SotN.

Have you even played both games? The sound in the DS version is crap technically to SotN and doesn't even have more Frames in the character models that SotN has. SotN looks alot smoother and not pixelated like PoT or any other 2D game on DS.

I own both. And I stand by my point that PoT IMO is superior in every way. Its also a lot bigger.

Technically Lumines Live was the first game to break the limit

it came in 2 parts each 51MB... technically the game is 102MB

I'd imagine that once the new Memory Units come out the limit will get bumped up to 200-250MB which I think is a much more reasonable limit because at this point most of the XBLA games are just a testament to compression tech and some of them feel like we're being cheated of more game just so they can make the limit.

for SotN if the game is really 27MB compressed without the audio as someone else has said, then they could have easily included a few of the necessary tracks and made the rest of the tracks a free download That way those who really do care about fitting it on a Memory Unit can do so and the rest of us wouldn't get cheated with horribly compressed or reduced audio.

i too prefer SOTN over PoR

every other castlevania game after SOTN was always overshadowed by SOTN imo (as they were pretty much just cc's of SOTN)

SOTN is still the best castlevania game to me

If no one has ever played Symphony of the Night, let me tell you. This game is awesome and I would say one of the best games on PS1. Very good gameplay and the best Castlevania in my opinion. I'm glad this is coming to the Arcade section. Allot of people will buy this. I can garuantee that.

EDIT: PoT?? Don't you mean PoR for Portrait of Ruin??

looks like a good year for xbla so far (with the exception of the worthless ms.pacman)

SoTN (easily the defining starting point for all 2d based castlevania games. excluding prior versions of course smile.gif

Alien Hominid HD (the xbox/gamecube/console version was awesome. hopefully this will be the port and not the original from Newsground)

WormsHD (a 2d Worms for xbla. 'nuff said blink.gif )

Translation: There's a 50MB cap on Live Arcade games, unless it's a game that's gonna make us a boatload of money.

exactly, he looks kind of stupid saying that there is still a size limit, but then saying this game is over the limit and we are fine with it...

i'd rather just play this game emulated unless it is cheap on xbl

have you seen the demo video of worms HD... it's not 2D

you play it exactly like the old 2D versions, but the graphics are 3D done in the same style as the more recent 3D releases.

it should be good regardless. the gameplay is what made the old 2D versions better, not the graphics.

TBH I think this will be the Saturn version instead of a SONY PLAYSTATION game. The Saturn version looked better anyway and had a few extras.
