So I hear a lot of talk about Geometry Wars, and I see people on my friends list playing it. can anyone explain to me what it is? What type of game is it, what is the point of it? I would think about buying it from marketplace but not without knowing anything about it.

Let me know if you've played it, if you like it, if you recommend getting it.

you can download a demo from the marketplace. it is a little shooter that kinda reminds me of Asteroids. Download the demo and try it for yourself!

Its like smash tv sorta... same mechanics one stick moves one stick shoots, then the trigger is your bomb. hard as fuck... fun as it though as well...

ok, I just watched a video of some guy getting a really high score on it. It looked ok, but I don't know that I would want to pay (guessing) $8-$9 for it. I'll try the demo and we will see how it goes.

i forget how much it was for the smallest amount of MS points, but i had enough to get geometry wars and smash tv, and still had some points left over. its definately worth the $5 or whatever it ended up working out to, i play it all the time.

pgr just has the demo built into the game so you dont have to download it,... but to get the acheivements and online leaderboards,. you still gotta buy it
