hello,
I have a question that needs answering.
awhile back I asked about the no-dvd check on a modded chipped xbox.
Which I got done successfully! btw with a member THNX!!

I have installed a 500GB hard drive
I tried it with the no-dvd check it lags and takes....
atleast a few minutes to 10 minutes or longer to load to my avalaunch dash
I also have a secondary hdd a 250GB which loads perfectly...
anyone know whats wrong?
or is it just the hdd size difference?

I've had this problem with 500GB WD Blue Caviar drives. It happened for me when i was using a slim and did not have a DVD drive in it all together. I thought doing the DVD check fix would work but it still did the same thing. Popped in an older drive and booted up just fine. I narrowed it down to the hard drive, kinda sucked but i just had to use it in an xbox with a DVD drive. This has happened to me 3 or 4 times with those new WD drives.
