I have a xbox360 model 1439 which I already bough unlocked.

My dash is version 2.0.13604.0 and I wanna update to the newest one, I've read that the some dash version may not work depending on the unlock method.

Is there a way to find out which the unlock method was used?

360 version: v5.0 (360S - trinity)
Do you mean flashed? If so you are probably good to go. If it was RGH then there should be a chip installed inside it.
