Total Noob - Box With X3 And 200gb Hdd Help!, WHAT WHEN WHERE? Options

Yes ok i know this is not gonna be easy.

Ok, i have on order a XBOX Premod, with an X3, LCD, 200gb hdd and all the works.

I just cant wait :-)

But ok i have been reading around various sites and forums, and i am completely confused?

Can sombody help me with these questions? Appologise in advance if i should already know them, but i cant really find what im looking for?.

1:- Will i have to install a dash?, if so what is the best one you would recomend?, i hear the EvoX, is the best, but i cant find it anywhere?.

2:- Where do i get the update bios for the X3 chip, im assuming i just burn this to a cd and update, or update from netowork?.

3: Will the internal drive read cd`rs and original games? i hear you can only do one or the other, its all very confusing?....

This is what i would like my box to do when i have it well configured, and i know its gonna take some learning and some time.

1: TO BE NETWORKED TO MY 3 PC`S
2: MAYBE????? PLAY ONLINE GAMES??????
3: TO BE ABLE TO TRANSFER FILES TO AND FROM THE XBOX`S HDD, FROM THE NETWORK OR BUILT IN DVD DRIVE.
4: DELETE MOVE OR RENAME FILES ON THE XBOX`S DRIVE FROM THE XBOX?
5: INSTALL THE MEDIA CENTRE SO I CAN WATCH DIVX`S AnD MPEGS.
6: OF COURSE PLAY SOME GAMES
7: RUN EMULATORS ON THE UNIT

Now can anybody give me a list of progs i will need and in what order?, if i have to spend a month on getting each thing to work, then ill get as far as i can, just need a little help, on the best apps, install order and ease of use of each.

Now, i am pretty confident with computers, ish, so i should be able to manage most of it, if im shoved in the right direction, like actually managing to get the things in the first place lol.

Thanks in advance, and if i am being a complete NOOB!, and trying to run before i can walk, then please tell me, at least i would be able to sleep at night :-).

Guides from everthing to taking your XBOX apart, installing Chips, making backups, installing alternative Dashboards and much more can all be found there. Want Modchip help? Instruction manuals/guides etc for modchips: MODCHIP GUIDES. Need to figure out what version XBOX you have? XBOX VERSIONS GUIDES. Some Software and files we host: TOOLS and SOFTWARE Still can't find the answer? Check the PINNED TOPICS in the relevant forum. When all else fails.. use XS SEARCH. Use more than one word to narrow down the responses. Using Search properly.. can yeild the best results. Ignore what's written here.. and more experienced members will make life on XS hard for you. They tend to help those who help themselves first.

Bios= the 'usual' place (again) you can do it by network or by disc. The technical term is 'flash' bios.

Depends what your drive is, i hear cd-rw and dvd-r play on most dvd drives.

Slayers auto-installer is your best option, installs everything for you (again see the usual place)
