Well, my Falcon has hit something of a snag with video. I'm still trying to figure out if it's the infamous E74 in disguise.

Falcons are still relatively new as they only came out around september time last year, this isn't really enough time to tell if they're reliable or not.

However, after previously owning a falcon I must say that it ran very cool and stable and that I predict they likely will last much longer.

The only concern is that the graphics processing chip is still based on 90nm technology and runs quite hot. But with the cooler 65nm central processor and additional heatsink, the whole system runs much cooler as a whole.

As most of the 360's problems arrise from the blistering hot GPU I believe the the first totally reliable board will be Jasper as it will incorporate both 65nm CPU and GPU. Jasper is due for release towards the end of this year I believe.

I have a friend that bought one in Jan 08. Falcon, has a E71 - E74 - E79! With no hard drive attached.

Microsoft fixed it for free under the standard 1 year warranty.

I think the Falcons will have the "E" error at a high rate, not unlike the older models having the 3 red lights!

I'm still waiting for my first falcon, all my fixes have been xenon boards only.

Yeah, I got my first in like two weeks ago or something...

It's wierd taking the different heatsink off the GPU w/ the heat transfer bar and other heatsink
