I tried to flash my Hitachi 47D on sis180, xp normal mode, with XTRM-HITACHI-6IN1-V1_2.RAR,
and daemon tools 4.x present with one emulated drive (AFTER a long research I found garyopa claiming that with such a software installed the flashing will fail most of the times).
So it failed. Xp hung several times during flashing and only 3 out of 7 steps had success. In the last step xp hung for about 1/2 hour so I restarted ONLY XP. But 47d was never again detected!!
I have my orig bin though..

Now it does not get detected, eject does not work.

I found that by opening 360 "when" onboard sata "start" searching during POST it hangs a bit so instantly I close and reopen 360 and my Hit 47d is there!!
But xp seems to find something new.....loading progress bar runs not as smooth as without 47d on,
with no success. SYS manage, Dev manager nowhere...

So the only thing that gave me hope was this

http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?sho...514936&st=0

BUT I have a hitachi. SHOULD I keep trying it?
mtkflash finds nothing except if I power on 360 the right time(when the first line of the loaded mtkflash is visible)
But I cannot start flashing with no way... I don't even know If I should flash (IF I COULD) orig.bin or If I should create orig-e.bin

If I will install a dual fw chip and stick on the chips fw,(I have orig bin)
Is it possible to enter modeb then?

My question is also this... modeb has to do with the fw ONLY?
AND.. how many seconds MIN could kill the drive with the wire trick (I know it is not a trick but sudden death. it's a pity I found this info to late....)
If I killed my drive with the wire (AFTER the bad flash) what exactly is dead? A specific i.c. ?

Sorry for my english and for whatever..
Thank you for reading.

I have two questions:

1. a. "IF" the wire trick (for modeB) bricked my hardware..(after the bad flash of course) do I have to buy a new Hitachi or a new 360?
b. Is this repairable?

2.Will a dual firmware chip do the trick in my situation?

Thank you for reading and even more for your answers!

SOLVED!!!!!!!!!!
rolleyes.gif biggrin.gif smile.gif laugh.gif cool.gif

"Xecuter connectivity kit" did magic and saved my brick!!!
After that, Birdy's flasher worked like a charm (several times;just to see it again and again ;p ).
Even my key was in and the brick. smile.gif

I had a worry I left the wire too long (more than 5secs for sure; maybe about ten, but AFTER the corruption)

Now I have xtreme 2.1 wink.gif

I didn't knew I had to connect the gnd of hitachi and pc even with con. kit... in order to be recognised by pc.

I will add this as I can't edit previous post:

ONLY after that (common GND using 2 crock wires), the drive was detected. One time it simply needed a reboot (failed to get detected once...).

F.Y.I. USB never worked. ONLY sata on onboard pc sata worked!.
