I recently tried to flash a Benq with the modification 1.6 usb version. I connected the drive up to the Sata and used an original blaster 360 to give it power. It never even got to the DOS prompt, a mobo problem, so I never even got to the point of reading, much less writing an image. When I put the drive back in the 360 the power light just flashes quickly and the dashboard says something to the effect of opening tray. Does anyone have any thoughts on what I can do with this? My only thought is that the mode b switch in the blaster was on and the drive is in recovery mode.

Like Takashi said, the modeb switch did not cause your problem.
Benq's only go into recovery mode if the flash is bad and you never even got to that point.
So if drive is not showing up and not working anymore in your 360 then you might need to send it off to someone to recover your key and sell you another drive board. Perhaps you pluged the power in upside down. It happens to people all the time.

Anyhow if you are willing to ship the drive to Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada i could fix it all up for you. PM me if you're interested.

How do you recover the key if the drive can not be recognized? I have a new benq drive pcb to solder in but I first need my old key. Any help would be appreciated.
