As i said in my earlier post, i did NOT play gear of war early, i played if for the first time to day.

So this does not only affect those who played gears early.

yes but before you played this and flashed to ixtreme 1.4 - was it on any firmware before when you were last on live with it....and did you play a backup when on live.....even if it was a year ago and never been on live since you may have still been tagged but not known about it? Or did it work then suddenly stop?

I flashed to one of the first ixtreme firmwares, i do not think i have 1.4. My console has been connected to internet and been on live almost every day for the last year. No problems. And yes i have played backups on live, well aware of the risk. Played gears of war co-op for 2 hours, tried to connect 2 hours later ---> banned.

Funny thing is, my box 3rlod 2 weeks ago, and i xclampfixed it and got it up running 2 days ago. And today i got banned. Karma is a bitch! haha

iextreme 1.4 firmware 79k hitachi launch console, banned today.

what i did notice thou, was last night when i went to play some gow2 with a mate, i couldnt accept his invites, because i recieved a error msg through the blades telling me i cannot join a multiplayer game because iam on a silver account even though i have gold. i tried accepting his friends request about 1 minute later and i got into his game.

The ban wave isnt caused by new games!

I was banned not one new game (COD5, GOW2). Last game played on my 360 was Halo 3.

When i came to play it couldnt connect to live. Its the firmware again. All my games were stealthed and checked online using DVD Mulleter except halo 3 which wasnt in the database but didnt say the Stealth files were invalid. Escaped last years but caught this time.

I just got banned but all my buddies didnt but i played fallout 3 early anybody else that got banned played this game

I don't have a live account. My 1 month trial has expired like a week ago. Can i still check if i'm banned or not?

Yes. Regardless of your XBL account status, stealth checks are still preformed on the drive when connected to XBL. Even with silver, you can still be banned.

I have 4 360's in my house, All Modded with 1.4.

So far all have been able to sign on to LIVE, I have never played any releases early. I will keep you posted if anything changes.

I'd be willing to guess that if everyone puts all of their games played through DVD mulleter, we'd find out that only people that had a game which couldn't be verified were banned.

It is possible to put valid stealth information on a game that it doesn't belong to. Which basically means, it can pass stealth check and boot on the latest firmwares, but still raise a very big red flag for MS to ban.

Only a guess though.

Same thing has happened to me tonight. I went to sign onto live and it says I'm banned I call up support and after having them be extremely rude to me I was told that my system has been modded and my console has been banned because of it. I told them that I did not mod my console, I don't even know how, but my system is completly legit the only time it would have been "opened" as they put it was when I sent in because of the RRoD. He kept saying it was my fault and that I opened my console and modded it and they don't tolerate it. No matter how much I explained to him that I did not he kept repeating the same thing and would not help any further.

I called back and got a MUCH nicer person who told me for the past 5-6 hours they've bee getting the same calls and are looking into the problems and to keep checking the website for updates but of course I see nothing online. Hopefully this all gets resolved soon.

Hi plz, checked this morning and yep i got banned. benq latest firmware..never played pre released games just backups of orginals that i own and still got banned. Ohh well lucky i got 2 boxs :-)
