I softmodded my brother's xbox a few years back using the 007 exploit. He gave it to my nephew and the little guy decided to clean out his xbox memory and deleted the 007 save file.

Now all his xbox does is go to the splash screen (no MS dashboard or anything).

He can still play regular xbox games and backups, but him and his parents mostly used it for dvd watching.

I had dvdx on there for that, but nothing works now (except for games).

Anyway to repair that without going into the xbox or getting it chipped?

any software or something to do on a computer?

run Slayers, AID, CASH, etc. and use it to FTP to your xbox and fix it.

I'd also put the 007 save back in the xbox
