is it ok to put hot glue only instead of soldering if you dont have great soldering skills. im fine with soldering but sometimes in those tight spaces its a pain... will the contacts come out easily?

People have enough faults and errors with soldering, so to hot glue it would be a nightmare. Plus, removing it after if you mess it up could be a big problem too.
Practice, practice, practice - get some old circuitry out of a junked stereo or something and try it - it's really not that hard - I started when I was about 14 (I'm now 33!!! )

PS What are you trying to solder and where do you live ? (Uk etc?)

Solder Conducts, Hot Glue Doesnt.
If you're installing a pinheader, hot glue will screw you, plain and simple. If you're making a led ring or something, its possible to use only hot glue, but not plausable, solder really isnt all that bad, and its not that expensive, buy some 30 guage wire, buy some solder, buy a soldering pencil / whatever and just practice tinning some 30 guage and putting it together. There are a million soldering tutorials with tips of the trade. The first soldering gun I ever held had my LPC at the other end, and I turned out okay. Just trust yourself and you'll be fine....or severely angered. Definately one of the two.
