Please Help Having Trouble With Sc Mod Options

ok i have read every tut i can get my hands on, searched for help.....etc. the problem i am having is every time i load the linux profile in the splinter cell menu, i get a blinking red light and a code 21 saying my xbox requieres servicing, i can shut off my xbox and everything is fine......it goes back to normal. my xbox is a 1.1 and i have had live for 1.5 yr's now. did i download some kind of patch that fixes this exploit from live? i have been working on this for days and have tried many diffrent exploits, i also have 007 auf and that does the same thing and they both are not platinum i have mech assault as well but that is a platinum.


please help or i will ......

Me, yes. I get an error 21. Went onto mIRC and the guys didnt really help me.

I am not really shure of this, but i heard some new versions of splinter cell games are protected against softmod, maybe its the memory card, some get files corrupted. I believe thats possibly the game. Try to get from a friend a really old version of splinter cell or 007, and i chipped my xbox with 007 Platinum hit so maybe it is the game version. (maybe) i just heard rumors

I have a used version of splinter cell, and its platinum hits. So i doubt its very new... Its kind of pissing me off that i cant get any help with this. I need a solution and all im getting is links to sites, and more questions.

What type of mem card are you using to transfer the saves? AR has a problem with corrupting the saves.

Also, make sure there are no other SC gamesaves on your xbox.

EDIT: What gamesave are you using, try using a newer one such as the ones for krayzie's installer. I believe ltools has a problem on v1.6 xboxes.

I have no SC saves on my box, and im trying to use Ltools... My box is very old, and i got it in like 2002, so its probly a 1.0. I have the platinum hits version of SC and i think that might be why. Anyways people keep refering me to krayzies installer like i know what theyre talking about. Im a complete noob at modding, and have no idea where to get that or what it is. I was just trying to go along with a tutorial i saw on how2xbox.com, which didnt just work for me like i wanted. I got an error 21, and now i dont know what to do .

PS - i have Action Replay and when saves are corrupted it tells me. (Usually)

Sometimes AR itself corrupts the gamesave, not the gamesave is corrupted to begin with. Use krayzie's installer, ltools is outdated. Do a search if you don't know what something is. and it could easily be your game is not the right version.

Yea i got krazies but ive heard platinum hits versions of the games wont work.

I have had the same problem with a few of my mates older boxes - I just connect them to xbox live ( I dont have an account ) I just update the dash this way.

Every box I have updated to the latest dash works fine with Krayzies uxe for splintercell.

Have you tried this?

Like i said ive heard platinum hits versions of all 3 games do not work, and i have platinum hits splinter cell. Ive tried both ltools and krayzies but neither work. Im guessing its the game... Im just gonna exchange it for a normal one today, and hopefully it works.

where did you hear the SC platinum hit doesn't work? And how did you conclude your version doesn't work. What did you experienced when you tried it?

first off thanks for all the replies 13 in 1 day....wow. i have had my splinter cell since it first came out so i know that isnt it but i do use action replay so it could be corrupting but like the other guy said it normally will say something and not be able to load. and if you do some looking at other sites 99% of people say they were unsucessfull at modding with thier platinum hits versions. besides action replay what other way is there to get a soft mod on a un modded box? besides getting a mod chip and then doing a soft mod on top of that?
