So I flashed a MS25 to ixtreme 1.2 just to get my cpu-key and NAND through xell and now I want to flash it back. Problem is, I can't read or write to it anymore. The drive is seen in the bios, but when I boot into dos and try to read and write from it with mktflash, I can't get any response.

Since I let the hacked firmware spoof a MS28 as recommended, I was wondering if it now acts as a MS28 and I need to do the 10 sec. trick where I turn the 360 off and on but that didn't seem to work.

Do I need to use a enable 0800 disc?

Is there something I am doing wrong or something else I should be doing?

I believe you may need to do the 10 second trick if it's spoofed as a MS28 and there is no need for the enable0800 disk as iXtreme did away with it

no, it is a ms25 so 0800 disc or 10 sec trick will do.
Spoof wersion will not change it.

Thanks, finally got it by using a 0800 disc burnt on DL. I had one on single layer that worked for xtreme 5.x (forget which one) and it wasn't working this time around.
