Xbox 360 Bad Flash, wont play games Options

I was trying to flash my liteon using JF, well JF did not work for me, while i was trying to flash it (before I obtained dummy.bin) my system hanged and I was not able to eject DVD rom using Power kit.

I used l-o-eras.exe command to erase my firmware and then eject started to work fine.

Then I obtained the key.bin, inquiry.bil files, since JF does not work for i flashed my liteon using DosFlash, it flashed successfully, but it does not play any games, just read's games as DVD.

Unfortunately I lost my key.bin, inquiry and dummy.bin, can i just go ahead and generate those files again using probe? or am i pretty much done with me xbox?

any advices?

If you're sure you never obtained a valid dump, and it's been on live since june-09 or brand new, then no there's no chance of it ever playing a game from a disk again.
you lost the dvdkey, once you erase, it's a done deal.

How did you lose your bin files?

What about the jf log?

so did DosFlash overwrite the original files?
as DF saves a copy......

he tried to flash the drive first (didnt even bother to read it)but,it crashed his system out,he went and erased the drive so he aint got anything.what he extracted after the erase is useless info without the key.



whats the point in asking how he lost his bin files.read from the start ffs!

Now you've pretty much have just a dvd player unless your system hasn't been updated since June.

Yes, I never got any files, my PC just hanged and i erased my drive using DoshFlash, after that i tried to obtained the files using probe, but nothing really worked.

and yes i updated my xbox on june:(. so i am done.


However, since you guys are really kool and fast with reply then please help me out. I've another xbox which has overheat problem, it is a BenQ, so can I replace my Lite-on with BenQ DVD Drive? any good tutorial or Steps would be highly appericateable.

I bough tmy LiteOn 7 months ago, so its not the latest model I have, I saw some threads people doing it, but i am not absolutely sure if its possible or how to do it.

i dont think it matters if u spoof or not, if u aint got the key then ur shit out of luck. i sppoofed a benq to test b4 i flashed mt liteon, just to make sure the key was good. if ur saying u spoofed it to another drive and it works, then u have a good key. Something else is the matter wit ur liteon.
