When using FTP, transfer starts out fast, then slows to near a halt. takes hours to complete and often eventually stops altogether. What am I doing wrong?

Well for one, you could search on the issue.

My guess is you have (or have in the past) had zone alarm or some other antivirus/firewall software installed on your computer. Remove it, and see if that helps.

this is the easyway........

Goto your xbox and find out your ip.
and find out your user name and password on the xbox
leave your xbox on the modded dashboard.
goto your computer.
and click on internet adress bar and type "ftp://xbox:xbox@your ip"

And you have to use a router or could use crossover cable but its harder.

theres a tutorial on www.xbox-scene.com and goto tutorials.
