Anyone choosing to conduct any sort of transaction with another member on XS does so at their own risk and expense.

As individuals, you need to take responsibility for your own actions, and you need to take responsibility for the fact you are dealing with strangers on the internet. Xbox-Scene is not a professional Sales service.. and is provided free and without any kind of warranty. We also will not ban people because you claim they ripped you off. Do NOT send the the "evidence" as we simply do not have the time, manpower, or will to follow through on your complaints. We have no intention of mediating any more disputes.

If you are ripped off, the only thing you are allowed to do on XS is to report it in the thread of the seller/buyer/trader ONCE. Alternatively you can make a note in your signature stating your grievance with the user. What you cannot do is spam other XS forums with your complaints. Do not make threads complaining about transaction that have gone bad. Do NOT contact staff complaining that a user has ripped you off. Do NOT make new threads in this or any other XS forum complaining about the "user" that ripped you off.

Xbox-Scene Does not recommend or endorse the use of the XS BST forums unless you are willing to take responsibility for your own actions, and you assume all risk. We do however recommend that people who wish to assume that risk should research the people they are dealing with, and alternatively search out and use professional Sales forums.(many of which offer the services and customer protection you keep asking us for here on XS but will NOT get here!)

People who continue to ignore the clearly posted rules and post complaints all over the place despite moderators and staff closing and moving them.. expect two things to happen.. the person complaining (and not necessarily the accused) will have their account closed, and that BST will get closed altogether. XS has already dedicated too much time and human resources to maintaining this area of the site. If it continues to be a problem we will close it.

Also.. do not ASK for any expansion of the BST type forums as we have no intention of adding forums to this area, or to expand the services provided.

Feel free to LIST your XBOX or XBOX item for Buy, Sell or Trade. others can feel free to offer any number of legal items (under the XS rules of course) or cash in trade. What people cannot do, is start new thread, and offer NON xbox items. Period. No new threads with people offering non-XBOX stuff.

UPDATE:Getestore and Similar “store” / commissioned pre-made store type concepts – No Commission Based Sales. Period. This is pretty much a BST and BST360 specific rule. Any products offered for sale should be in direct possession by the seller. From now on, and new post in any of the BST sales type forums on XS, must list the products and merchandise in their entirety in the post on XS, or don’t bother posting at all on our site. To be perfectly blunt, XS is not here for you to make money. XS sponsors are the only exception to this rule. The items listed in any sales thread or post on XS, must actually be in the possession of the person(s) listing it for sale or trade. Selling items for a 3rd party business via a commission based "Ready Made Internet Store" does not constitute owning the stock, and will result in a closure of the thread, and possibly the account. We want members to be directly accountable for any actions/tractions they conduct on our site.

UPDATE JAN 2007: Do not start threads asking "what can I get for 5$, 10$ etc" as staff will close them and make a ban req on your account. when making a new post, either Offer to sell a product, or trade a product. If you want to buy something.. go into an existing thread and make an offer on a product or service. DO NOT MAKE NEW THREADS ASKING WHAT YOU CAN GET FOR $5 bucks etc.

Do Not Offer to Buy, Sell, or Trade GameFly Subscriptions. Members can get their own subscriptions.

UPDATE: XS will not DELETE threads on demand. Even in light of the Raids on US shops. You can request it be removed/made invisible, however, we will keep it open for 30 days if you do so, allowing those you have serviced can comment, communicate, and / or complain or raise issues. We can make some requested edits though of info you posted, however, we will keep it on file. Note, deleting or removing your thread at this point is too little, too late. the authorities have that info already, and worse, every search engine and spider crawler on the net has it archived.

I will happily repair boxes with dead hard drives. i will unlock stock hard drives that you have from a dead xbox. i will look at faulty dvd players. although if its dead its dead.. Il remove the clock cap for you. and clean up any issues that may have already happend. Il repair traces that lead to xboxes automatically turning on and the dvd ejecting by its self excetera. Sticky tray dvd's will be fixed when i find them even if thats not the reason the xbox was sent to me. "please dont send me ones with sticky trays to fix unless you also want them modded just ask me how to fix them instead" if you have an xbox with a dead hard disk and just want a standard xbox hard disk in there i can do that for a minimal cost. or i can put a larger hard disk in there. if you need a 1.6 xbox chipped i will have to surce the mod chips. I think i can get duox2 but they will take a while to arrive. so turnround times on that may be a week or more. But i will happily soft mod a 1.6 and do a hard disk upgrade. Eeprom disks will be supplied with all softmoded boxes with a basic softmod i will happily add software to the hard disks for free because thats how much i pay for the software my self. ----more to read + PRICING PLAN--- if you send me an xbox to be softmodded/hard disk repaired/upgraded and at the same time i notice the xbox can be flashed then i will Tsop flash it, unless requested not to.. When it comes to the hard disks For upgrades i wold prefer that you supply the drive that you want to be put in the box. If you want me to supply the drive i will charge what i paid for the drive + a small % mark up (yet to decide what the % is but wont be more than 10%.) if you want a stock hard disk supplied because yours died. then that is £2 you may get 10gb may get 8gb il use the 10gb's 1st. The pricing in general is prety simple though. all work is considerd as a freindly geasture. if i dont have to supply hardware it is not what i concider ethicall to charge a set price. So you have to cover the postage both ways. and if After you get your xbox back you want to donate a beer or 2 feel free to gift a few £ to my paypal. think of it like. you asked a friend to do it and then said let me buy you a drink for your efforts. (1 really as one is already designated) 4x 250gb hard disks should arrive in the next few days. these drives are available to hard disk upgrade requests. also have a box full of (30 or so) stock hard disks for xbox dead drive repairs. (gift what you feel its worth, please add £1 for media disks for the eeprom.) I will happily repair boxes with dead hard drives. (have seen it happen) then i will move the cap above a controller port via kaynar wire and encase it in epoxy. this will prevent damage to the board if the cap leaks. check for dangerous foxlink psu's and rectify the error, Sticky tray dvd's will be fixed when i find them. (standard work done to all consoles. feel free to gift some money for this service) Il repair traces that lead to xboxes automatically turning on and the dvd ejecting by its self excetera. (gift what you belive the work was worth) if you have an xbox with a dead hard disk and just want a standard xbox hard disk its £2 for a stock hard disk. or i can put a larger hard disk in there.
