QuickBoot allows you to build "short cut" LIVE containers that will allow you to launch applications directly from NXE.

The three main advantages of this are:

Saves time by loading the application directly, rather than having to use XexLoader to browse the file tree and find the executable.
Bypasses the 4GB size limit on live containers as you're not actually storing the application data in the live container, merely making a shortcut to it.
Allows you to load applications off of external hard drives etc. straight from NXE.

Huge thanks goes out to DJ Shepherd for releasing the X360 source as well as Le Fluffie.

This will be on Xbins shortly with a proper NFO file smile.gif

Sorry only tested in Windows 7. It requires .NET Framework 3.5 to be installed which you can download from Microsoft (Vista and above should have this pre installed). It is compatible with 32bit and 64bit. May need administrator privileges in Windows Vista and Windows 7 depending on where you're saving too.

Making a small database of game images. Must be 64x64, PNG, and 16KB or smaller. Add comments to the page with links to your images. Or email them to me: tyler at digitalreality.co.nz

Cool - good work smile.gif

One thing - the png file needs to be in the same folder as the .exe or it errors ..... blink.gif

Apart from that, it's all good smile.gif

It shouldn't, as you can see in the video above I choose my png from a completely separate drive... PM me details of OS/Error/etc.

Very nice app. I just learnt the harder way to do it, then came across this thread. Awesome work. Note: I have used the gamesave directory names of each game to give some form of reference to the built container.

copy image location if you are unsure of what game these are for.
all thumbnails ripped from the xex itself. no discrepencies, nothing hand made.
