Hello everyone, I have put my modded xbox in my truck and dont want to run it off of an inverter anymore. There are many 12v power supplies for computers, is there any schematic for the wires on the xbox psu? i have the (gen1 i think) (the connector only has one row of pins). i dont want to have to use a multimeter on all of the conections. has anyone done this before? Thanks!

You could check out the PSU off of llamma meant for running an xbox in a car straight from DC power.

Look around for the schematic. It exist.
I have the llamma one. It's nice and fits inside the box.
Not tried it yet as I am still in the collecting parts stage of installing an xbox in my truck.

I remember that GotM4xx kid had his dad design one. You might want to try PMing him. First look for his real name lol.

No, I believe he made his xbox run off of batteries. And then it exploded or something.

Has anybody got the schematics for the power supply? Ive been looking around for one for ages but all i could find was the llamma one but there wasnt any schematics for it. So if i cant get a scematic for a 12v input psu, ill just have to go the inverters rolleyes.gif

And then he used the power supply and hooked it up to his car...

Do you have the inverter hardwired? That would free up your cig lighter if that's how you have it set up.. otherwise I don't see a downside to using an inverter. unsure.gif

I dont have either im just looking at the best option. I have heard that inverters put 'noise' on the 12v line which is bad if yah got a bigass soundsystem cause youve got a 50-60hz hum.

I also dont mean i want the pinouts for the power supply plug, i mean want the schematics of the actual power supply. So has anyone got the scematics for one?
