Video crop? Do you mean so you can do stuff like zoom in on a letterboxed display so you get a "fullscreen" view on the old 4:3 TVs? If you tap the Y button a few times while watching a video, you might find what you're looking for.

no, i already know about that. im talking about like, where you can crop out certain parts of video, say for instance, a video with hardcoded subs... you can like crop it to where it wont show the subs.

Use the zoom and pixel ratio settings in the menu whilst watching something. You can zoom until that stuff is cropped out. You can also change the pixel aspect ratio to squish or whatever.

well yeah i could do that. but id rather make it to where i can just crop like the bottom out a bit, but its probably more trouble than its worth. it would just be nice to have it though, cuz i hate full screen videos and some widescreen movies i have, have hardcoded spanish or japanese subs on the bottom, and i would like to crop them out on xbmc without having to re-encode them with virtual dub

but the equalizer for both audio and video would be a great feature, that i'd like to see in a future build of xbmc

thanx

Many many thanks for all your work!

One thing I noticed when I try to use the:

_WIN32 PC ENVIRONMENT INSTRUCTIONS (WIN32 FOLDER)_

The menu options are all shifted along one, forcing the Apps section off of the selection...

IPB Image

It's a little odd but no biggy, it seems like it's only started happening in the last two builds as far as I can tell. I tried it on a couple of PC's with the same problem so hopefully you should be able to replicate the problem.

That's by design I think...

Yes indeed it is by design because on Linux Win32 and OSX you can't actually run programs yet when we can I will re-add it back on again but it was confusing too many people running the ports

I'm having a strange problem with the new build that I can't seem to figure out.

I backed up my UserData folder and updated from an April or May build, so it wasn't all that outdated. I did a clean install, then restored my UserData folder. I wasn't able to get my video database and thumbs recognized right away, so I went ahead and deleted everything and did a completely clean install and cleared the cache on the box as well (e:\cache and the x:, y:, z: drives) and also deleted the XBMC save file.

I set all of my preferences and began the process of updating all of the info for my movies. The problem is that when I select movie info, for a second, I see the icon for the first movie in the directory before I see the actual movie info. Then when I hit back or B, it goes back to the first movie in that directory (or the top of the directory, whichever way).

Example:

First movie in directory being 8 Mile

Lookup info for Rambo (in same directory) -> see 8 Mile cover -> display Rambo info

Back/B button -> see 8 Mile cover -> returned to 8 Mile (top) in the directory

As I said, this is a completely clean install, nothing imported from previous installs. I've tested this twice now and do not want to have to go back and pull all of the movie info again, but I haven't seen any hint of this problem here or on the XBMC.org forums.

Hope I've provided enough info. Any suggestions are welcomed smile.gif

TIA
