works fine from linux, i just did it not 10 mins ago. Here is the process i used

1) Took old nand dump i had and used badblock mover from redline99 to copy the moved blocks to the zero paired image (xbereboot.bin)
2) dumped out the kv and config blocks from my nand dump and injected into the zero paired image (xbereboot.bin)
3) booted linux on the xbox as it was already running (just) xell
4) compiled lflash and wrote that new 16MB image to nand

thats it!

thanks vintage_guitar for the guide but I have a falcon 360 not jasper. Also I was not worried about the dumping time. I just did not want to have 8 wires hanging around just to reflash when I could use linux. biggrin.gif . But Im guessing this works for 16mb nands too?

For 16mb nands use the standard version of lflash.c
http://free60.git.sourceforge.net/git/gitw...flash.c;hb=HEAD

Thanks for quick replies, ok so I use the code in script provided from the free60 link and put it into the tut you just posted. Can this normal edititon of lflash actually flash the nand or is it just for reading the nand again?

I used normal version of lflash from free60 here to flash my 16MB xenon.

Yeah, the normal version of lflash.c can be used to flash xbr. But as always, have backups/alternative way to flash in case something doesn't go as planned.

That's why I have a infectus installed jester.gif

btw step 11 and 12 are not needed in your guide above, you can just "sudo su -" to become root without changing passwords...

I have a Xenon motherboard with a 1903 CB version which is listed as exploitable but when I connect the JTAG wires using this as a guide: http://i.imgur.com/ptWYM.png the xbox still boots up normally. I have checked and redone all of the connections several times but it does not seem to be working. It says in the tutorial that it won't boot up with the JTAG wires on so I have been booting it up to test the connections. is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

I have a 512mb Jasper with the xell hack installed.

For some reason the Gentoo Live CD Beta 2 disc will not load?

Xell detects that a disc is in the tray, and it tries to load it, but I just get some sort of error, and then xell just shows me my cpu key, and tells me it cannot tell me what my dvdkey is or something? something to do with a bad hash?

So how am I able to load Gentoo on my 512mb Jasper with xell? I'm trying to make a good dump of my 512mb nand without taking 16 hours to do it.

Did your livecd burn properly? Your KV.bin doesn't even need to be injected into xell, so the dvd key is not the problem.

i put in a cd-r into my dvdrom burner, and used Nero, and went to "burn image" and selected the image.

it's strange cause it notices it *xell that is* but it fails. Would it have to do with my dvdrom being the unhackable liteon drive?

Is there a proper method of burning this image?

The dvd drive does not need to have modified firmware to run gentoo livecd from xell.

well i tried burning it again, this time as Disc At Once (i found this out on some random website when dealing with the old KK exploit), and it is still not booting??

xell says...

* try booting from CDROM
* reading file vmlinux ...

! found file at lba=313805, size=8523506
! loading file ...

then after about 10 seconds....

! read10 failed!
! atapi cmd: 0x28 READ(10)
! sense: 0x038000 UNKNOWN SENSE

! read sector failed!

then after that it just shows the end of xell, telling me my cpukey and that i have a bad hash...

Any other suggestions? sad.gif
