I was wondering if I could sand down those two grooves running along the inside of one of the slots on the controller and get the live puck to fit in either slot. Or will this cause complications?

im not sure really, they might be there so you put it in the top one just for cosmetics and ability to push the mute button, but take apart your controller and plug the puck into the base of the plug and see if it still works

Does a memory card normally fit in either slot or just the bottom one?

So what would happen if I hooked up two memory cards at the same time?

Nothing special happens.

Gotcha, just figured if Ms made the live puck fit in just one they probably made the mem card fit in the other one only.
