Swizzy released a new version of his GUI for xeBuild v1.0: [QUOTE] Overview - What it does - This is a frontend/GUI for xeBuild, what it does is make it easy for you to select most options that you might need, such as Motherboard, SMC hack for freeboot, image type etc. etc. - It is able to check what SMC hack you have previously used for JTAG it's also able to tell you what SMC version you have, and if it's a JTAG, Clean/Retail, Glitch or Cygnos patched SMC :) - If you put any of these files next to the executable it'll use them automaticly: SMC.bin - Custom SMC of your choice; ONLY USE THIS OF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!! Yes, just extracted the official M$ update to a stick, renamed to $$ystemupdate and bummm all working.
When connected the kinect it asked to update the kinect. Everything is smooth.

Thanks swizzy for the tool. Works like a charm.
Couldn't get the Rogero tool to accept my SMC (falcon 3.0 smc version 1.6).

Recommended at least for Falcon boards.
Used flash360 to flash the nand.

I have strange problems trying to update to 14699 and i'm getting real desperate here...

basics: jtag jasper16 with currently 13599 kernel and dashlaunch 2.27 installed, all running fine.

so i wanted to ugrade to metro dash (14699) and built an image using xeBuild GUI v1.1

when i flashed the image by xell, the console always freezes at the xbox logo. still i was able to fire up xell(ous). so i rebuild the image (again excluding DL2.27) and flashed it again. no change.

reverting back to 13599 via xell works fine.

any ideas?

I guess it can only be the image you've made with xebuild. The options you choose or something...
Did you use the Options_info.ini ?(I did not, left everything by default)
Just messed around with launch.ini for the dashlunch. Used a custom SMC proving my own hacked SMC.
Dunno what kind of options you used.

Try flashing using flash360, that's how i ussually do it, also like HiGhLaNdR said it can be something wrong with your customized settings or so, if you give us some more details of your settings it would help out, also a log from the app (excluding your cpukey) would also be helpful i will be releasing a brand new version very shortly, if you like you can try it out, just send me an e-mail and i'll give you a link admin@swizzy.se is my e-mail if you didn't read the readme
