Please help me..

Yesterday i completed the Ndure install from Textbooks Tutorial. That all went to plan..
SO today i started to do the hdd swap. I checked compatibility and yes it will lock..
I did the eeprom backup and copied it to my computer.. Put it in the xboxhdm...
Did up the boot disk..
Started it up and formatted my new HDD and put all the stuff from my old hdd onto it.
All was going good.. So this was takin a bit so i thought while i was waiting i would unlock my xbox hdd (using Configmagic), because i was going to put it in an older computer....
THat worked pretty good..

My new hdd was nearly done, then it came up with an error, apparently the eeprom was corrupt and it won't read it......

Now I have two unlocked hdd and an xbox that doesn' boot up... Error 06 code!

THe only thing i can say is a did copy the Unique HDD Key and the HDD Unlock Password down at the start..

So my question is to you, Please help me?

Thanks guys.

I don't understand what you mean by the eeprom was corrupt ?

Exactly when did it give you that error?

To me, it doesn't sound like you tried locking the drive with the eeprom, but just copying all the files over to the new hard drive. You have to copy all the files over, reboot, and then lock the hard drive. It's option 3/4 at the main screen (can't remember right now). Lock with Linux. Then you type "lockhd -a" without the quotes. Sorry if you already tried this, but it wasn't clear in your post if you did.

Thanks for the reply Textbook. It is very much appreciated..

After i tried locking it, typing in "lockhd -a" then it said file EEPROM was corrupt..

I can't remember if i rebooted or not!!

I am going to try again now, as i still have a copy on my computer of xboxHDM (It only just dawned on me that i have the original copy)... SO i will redo the whole HDD if its possible?? I have a feeling it isn't but i will try anyway!!

I need to edit the first post aswell. I have two locked HDD's that i can't unlock.. I have just discovered that error 6 is a "can't unlock" error...

Are you using the 1.9 version of xboxhdm.. I'm not positive but I think earlier versions had a problem with1.6 eeproms

this may help..
with Liveinfo Beta 3 (winXP,NT,2000) you can enter the Unique HDD Key
and it will create a eeprom.bin (use 1.0) that is useable in xboxHDM (any version)
also if you have the HDD conected it will display the needed password for that HDD (after selecting it)

Thank you Xman954...

I did what you said, and used Liveinfo Beta 3 and input the hdd key and it created a eeprom.bin for me.

I just rebooted that hard drive with xboxhdm and used it to lock the hdd and it worked.

Thank you very much.. I owe you one... pop.gif
