Just today I got my first HDTV, and I've been experimenting a bit with my softmodded Xbox... I'm wondering if it's normal, or some sort of error... I have to go through either the MS dashboard (via softmod disabled) or the softmod dashboard - then load the game for any resolution higher than 480i to be enabled. What am I doing wrong? All the resolutions are set to 'Yes' in the MS dashboard Video settings menu.

i got know clue, but are you going to your M$ dash through the softmod, you might have to temp undo your softmod, enable all your stuff, then softmod again, only thing i can think of is the virtual C: so when you enable your HD stuff through your softmod, the settings arent sticking when you actually boot to retail cause of a virtual C or something, i could be wrong but it would seem that would be the correct assumption

obviuosly your using the HD pack or i dont think you would even be given the options in the M$ dash for HD

You were right, it was the Virtual C... I turned off the softmod and noticed all the higher resolutions were turned off, so I turned them on and turned on the softmod again, but thanks for the responce.
