Xbox 360 Slim Fan Specs Options

Does anyone know the specs on the current fan for the Slim? What info I'm looking for:

Fan Size LxWxH

CFM Output

dBA

How it connects to the motherboard

It's 4 pin PWM so have to look for that.. or could do a mod so it runs on 12v

That's the same fan I have in mine running at 12v, it's not that loud at all but def. louder than stock. I love it too looks great in there.

Just found this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUUxt6GBV6A - Video shows 3 pin, but xbox one is 4pin.

If the xbox fan connector can be removed you could just buy a 2/3pin fan, remove the connector off that and the xbox fan, then wire the fan you bought to the xbox fan connector, would only take a few minutes, and you can use anything to remove the connector.

If you can find the adapter, it should work.. don't think they'd cost a lot though. Would be 4 pin pwm to 3 pin

Problem is that 4th pin is for controlling fan speeds... from what I have seen so far (still doing research) i should be able to plug a 3pin into the 4 pin connector and the fan will just run at full rpm, my only problem is knowing which 3 to plug the fan into.

ethan071891 could you maybe show me close up pic of how you got everything installed? And did you cut the corners from the fan so it would fit?

black + red are the two you need.. so the 4th controlling the speed won't touch the fan you plug in

Yeah I bought that same fan, the problem im having is after trimming the corners and filing still won't fit. I don't want to cut on the fan shroud since I dont want to make changes permanent unless I could find another fan shroud. Those that have done this please help im getting frustrated. Also all I hooked up was the black and red wires is that the correct way. Thanks again in advance.

undmor did the fan you bought only come with 2 wires? the one I'm thinking of purchasing has 3... And can you show those of us curious how you cut the edges of your fan to fit the shroud? Thanks.

Pics will have to wait till the weekend but I just wired the power and ground to the spots underneath where the psu plugs in. And no I didn't cut the corners just screwed it down to the heat sink with the screws that were in the stock fan.

did you use the existing fan shroud as well? I was under the impression the square fans wouldn't fit properly...

No I'm not using a shroud at all, just the square fan screwed down to the heatsink. Seems to be working great so far.

you screwed the fan?
thats not possible cuz the holes are 80mm holes so its just possible to srew 80mm fans, or did you drill extra holes?

the original fan is a 92mm fan but has 80mm holes.

and for the fan shroud, you dont have to use it but it keeps the fan in perfect position, you just have to cut the corners of the fan.

my fan had 3 wires but i removed the third wire cuz you dont need it.

p.s.
you dont have to srew down the fan since the shroud keeps it in position!
