Dvd Problems, unresponsive Options

I had a xbox modded for my nephew and no problems until one day he was watching a movie then shut down the xbox went to bed. The next day the xbox would not eject the movie so I had manually eject the movie out. I swapped the dvd drive with another then it would work. Now months later it happened again it would not eject another movie. So I had manually eject it. It still will not open or close in modded mode or in MS mode. It would only close when I power off the xbox. When in MS mode I don't get any service codes just the eject button flashing then stops the same in modded mode too but I do get "ejecting" message in the background screen and it doesn't change from that.
