Yeah splinter cell uses install.xbe. MA and 007 use default.xbe

Would it be possible to just add a lil menu like in the installer for the m$ dash to toggle the softmod on/off? Or would this be something that MS would pick up on?

well from a modded state it would be possible to turn off. But from a retail state it's not possible to turn back on again.

Also switching on/off isn't required everytime you wanna go live. Simply coldbooting from a retail game is enough.

Hey priciate this thread...theres so many out there ...this one seems simple....but the only thing thats got me confused is i dont have MA or AUF ... Can i just use this method and use Splinter Cell + Krazies UXE installer for SC?......how would i go about loading evox from the game once i boot the game?...


and one last thing...i already have a softmodded xbox [purchased it]...so im trying to mod another.....i cant get my xbox to ftp....i think its because i only have the RJ45 cable and not a crossover cable.....but if i can get it to ftp cant i just copy the uxe installer from my pc...to my xbox...and then using a program copy it from my xbox to a memory card?.....

i dont think that would work, because it has to load from the game, although im not sure... And yes, you can use splinter cell, i dont like it though because there is two parts to the save, and it confuses me. And yes you would use Krayzie's UXE installerSC. and whats priciate? lol

Blankmanf you should add the splinter cell exploit instructions as well, same thing just that it's 2 folders unzipped into the memory card--start game--checkpoints--then select linux "profile" just a little suggestion.

By coldbooting a game to go live you mean with the xbox off you press the open disc tray button it turns it on and opens the tray you put your game in and close it right

i ran krazies mechassualt mod and when i went to load it in game it said unableto load

Ok, I went to AR site and downloaded a purported gamesave for Halo 2. This was a profile that was supposedly softmodded already, if it was... how would I kno.. I went to a new map ( containment) and everything seemed fine. I wasnt jumping high or anything... or was it just a hoax. Also, if i download a softmodded 007, SC or MA gamesave what would I do from there?

i think it was a hoax. they say there are mods to dual wield anything on AR, but it doesnt work... atleast on an unmodded xbox..,..
