Scratched...do you mean the box gave you a DDE. Try cleaning the disc and dvd drive.

I mean, I looked at it, and it's readable, but barely. it really hates me.

As with the halo 1 disk, it's just the same, but there is a piece of the data foil missing. not important, but still crucial.
