you can run a pc dvd-rom in an xbox, but it wont play original xbox games. Oh, and no you can't burn games from your xbox, even if there was software to do it.

If there was a software to do it people would get it done. I mean if we tried we could probably play games and burn cd/dvds. Think about mod chips i bet some people thought that we couldnt do that.

I wans't talking about in the future, I was talking about now. Sure, maybe someday somehow, someone will create a cd/dvd burner that works in an xbox (which I doubt will happen), but for now its impossible.

I dont think the xbox is powerfull enough to be used practically for dvd/cd burning. I think you might be able to install a burner drive if you use linux but it would be so slow that it wouldn't be of any use.

i have seen some linuxed sytems that are like 500 of them linuxed togethter or something stupid like that and they have actually had windows xp running on one( you know what i mean the cluster systems) although nodes started popping out all over the place so they couldnt get anything done
but it is entirely possible to have windows and a burner running it would just need something to make it more stable on a cluster system and probably need more clusters
