Not true. In an mp4 container it can only use 2-channel AAC LC, ie stereo. That's why WMV rips are preferred by some people because only they can accommodate 5.1.

Im sorry but unless im the only one in the world that can do it, the xbox 360 after the last spring update WILL PLAY XViD with .ac3 5.1

I just tryed it again thinking maybe I had played it on my xbox1 but no...
If you don't believe me try it, it works!

I forgot to add you might have to be using HDMI/optical audio...

Yes but will it play xvid in an mp4 container? I know that it plays avi files with ac3 5.1.
