I got a question.

I'm thinking of buying an upconverting dvd player($100-$130 cdn) . I noticed there are component cables for XBox ($15). If i buy component cables and enabled 480p, 720p , and 1080i is it the same as buying an upconverting dvd player?

P.S. I have a HDTV.

if the source video is big enough, it will output 720p nicely.

dont try and play HD on it though... the geforce 3 isnt up to the challenge.
