I've looked at the comparison pics but they both seem pretty old
so before I go buy shit I need to flash them

Is there a way that I can find out which I have with out opening them?

It's a Lite-On. They're all Lite-Ons now.

I just got a new Jasper unit myself (liteon).
I haven't flashed it yet but I was wondering what the scenes opnion of this drive is as far as reliability and reading media. This is my 3rd damn xbox and I've never had a red ring but I have had two MS28 drives just stop reading.
