My softmodded xbox (1.6) is having some issues lately. The power button and the last 3 controller ports are not working. I can still get the xbox to turn on by just plugging the power cable in. I'm not sure where to start in figuring out what's wrong with it. I have a spare xbox (1.1 I think?), would I be able swap out the power button and controller ports?

I would take the faceplate from the old one and put it on the 1.6 to see if that fixes the power problem. If so, you can swap components if you want.

The controller ports could have gone out, but there may be more going on with the motherboard.

Thanks for the reply. I actually posted that way too soon before getting all the information. I don't remember why I thought I had a 1.6, but the softmodded xbox is actually a 1.2. I think it's just that Trace Corrosion issue that happens on the older version.
