I've scoured the net looking for an appropriate answer but alas i have not and now I'm Here.

I want to connect my Original Xbox to xbox live wirelessly through my laptop.

I have a crossover cable and I bridged the connection

The connect status tells me the cables are connected but after that it says there's a problem with DNS servers not being found. I will keep at it but I hope someone has dealt with this before.

Thanks for your time

So you want to connect your Xbox to the laptop which is connected to the wireless? If so, you won't need a crossover cable. Once you have your Xbox plugged into your laptop, go to the settings for your wireless adapter on your laptop and make sure it is sharing the connection with the Xbox.
