so i finally done it.... here's a look of the final product.


ok, so here's what you want to do... using the communicator port on the bottom, the pins are labled 1-4. pin 1 and 3 put out 2 volts only when it's on. now, pins 1 and 4 will put out 2.5 volts when it's off and 3 volts when it's on. now, i used a test red led and it came on when using pins 1 and 3. the led's that i put in are white, so 2 volts didn't even make it blink.... now, the 2.5 volts that comes off 1 and 4 won't make them light up when it's off, but the 3 volts will when it comes on.

ps... one thing that i have noticed, when the plug and chagre kit is pluged in, you still only get 3 volts, but no matter if it's charging or not, if it's pluged it, the LED's are always on. as far as battery life, i don't know yet, it's too soon to tell, since i just finished this about 10 mins ago. got to go to bed now for work, so i'll see later what the battery life is like.
