I left a post yesterday on the EvoX forum because I thought I screwed something up through the dashboard. Upon further investigation, I noticed when I take the top of the SPIce chip off - the xbox loads up like normal. 3 out of the 4 lights also light up like they are supposed to.
When I place the chip down on top, I receive the red and green flashing LED. Has anyone seen anything like this? Is my chip totally shot?
Thanks, Vinny

Yeah your chips fried mail it to me ;-)........but incase it isn't, why don't you try this.

There's a little black switch on the chip, flip it. This will put your chip into recovery mode. Go to the teamxodus website and download the latest iso version of the xenium OS. Burn it to a medium your xbox can read (aka CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R etc.) and boot up ur xbox. You should get the recovery screen and it should say "Got from CD" wait for it to turn itself off, then switch the switch back and reboot it.

Thanks a million. It works after the recovery. Looks like I won't have to send it to you now.

OK, so it worked for a day. Now it does the 3 reboot FRAG in recovery mode or non-recovery mode. Sometimes it even starts as if the chip is not there, when in fact it is there. Now is it fried? Or do you have something else up your sleeve?

Thanks,
Vinny

hmm, if it boots to the MS Dash with the chip in then that means the D0 point is off, I'd double check to make sure everything is in there nice and tight. Since you have the spice just make sure all the lights are on except for that one or sumtin, i don't have a spice so i'm not tooooo sure how it works, but now it sounds like its just not sitting in there right.

Check your connections. On mine 4 of 4 light without the chip in place. 3 of 4 with the chip.
