Exactly!

Use Filezilla as your client. Open source, actively developed, free, just works well.

Use UnleashX, XBMC or Avalaunch as the dash on your Xbox. Don't use Evox - it doesn't support passive FTP, so doesn't work with some (many?) PC firewalls.

You can also use Qwix which is capable of extracting the iso and ftping in one shot.
