one annoyance though, it can play DVDs, and it can play MP3s, it cannot play MPs ON DVDs (they have to be on CDs)

a bit of a minor nuisance, it came with an aftermarket alarm system, and the keyfob doesnt have a trunk release (instead it has this blue key symbol where the release would have been on my previous alarms)
IPB Image

the key button doesnt seem to do anything, and it seems the 05+ mustangs dont have a trunk release inside them, so the only way i can open the trunk is with the key (and the lock has already frozen on me once, lol) so ill probably wire a button to the center console, but id like to know what they little key button is for, i thought it might be a remote start, but it just makes the lights flash, lol

Nice! I guess you know what kind of deck it has now. tongue.gif

BTW, they have aftermarket trunk release kits, that should work with what you got. They are very cheap too.
Ex: http://www.a1electric.com/Merchant2/mercha...ct_Code=TK01KIT

I hope that sticker is easy to take off the trunk. huh.gif Why would they do that to such a nice car?

its got the solenoid, it just doesnt have a button for it in the car (its only on the OEM keyfob, which i dont have, lol)

from reading online theres a wire to solenoid behind the passenger kick panel, and you just need to ground it with a momentary switch, then mount the switch somewhere, will be a nice simple project to get started making this car my own, lol

and sticker removal will be attempted when the weather warms up a bit (its dropped back to the low 40s sad.gif )

if those are your real license plates im jealous of those, lol, i dont even think you can get that in IL, they dont let you put letter-number-letter

i do need to come up with a good vanity plate though, lol

Nice buy bro. I'm considering upgrading to my current mustang to an 05+ GT

And if the wiring in your car is the same as in mine, then the truck release wire should be behind the kick panel running up towards the glove compartment wink.gif

I have been looking for it. That was linked to my long gone AOL account. They don't host personal files anymore so it may be lost forever.
