I have a crystal and was just wondering what it looks like without the metal shielding? I have some LED's and a custom jewel i want to fit and wanted to know if i should remove the shielding or not?

If anyone has pics of a crystal without the shielding in that would be helpful.

I think if you lighting it, then remove the shielding. I left mine in for months until I put in an LED ring a couple weeks back.

Without IMO. But lets be honest, if you don't like it, you can pop it back in.

If you have an older tv try removing the shield off your xbox to see what happens, if there is magnetic interferance stick the shield back in.

Imo it looks better WITH the shield sinces looks cooler/completes the crystal effect.

For reals. I think LED/Whatever lights reflecting off of components looks better than light reflecting off a metal shield.

CRYSTAL=CLEAR

Isn't that the idea? The shielding serves absolutley no purpose, other than to look ugly.

As soon as my crystal arrives, the shielding will get the boot.
