Bought 2 days ago from homepage link to newegg and I got this version ATAPI_iHAS124_C_LL02. Am I screwed for burner max?

Currently, yes. It's been reported that those drives are not flashable. The B revision has been, according to recent reports, discontinued. You can still find revision B drives in the wild, but they will become increasingly rare.

I read on another forum that C4Eva is already on top of this and will most likely be releasing a firmware for this version, the only question is when.

There is speculation that it may not be possible for the rev C. C4Eva has stated that he is looking into, and he has never let us down yet.. so who knows :-)
