hello everybody, can anyone explain to me in detail how to softmod and put xbmc in my xbox. i would really appreciate the help. Thank You

There are plenty of guides on how to do what u are asking. Also doing the softmod depends on what you have to work with do you have Action Replay a memory card and one of the exploitable games if you do then look into Krazie's ndure installer if not look into Kingroach's ndure installer after you get the softmod done then we can help u put xbmc as the main dash

And im lookin for someplace were i can bye a xbox to female usb adapter. Then when i have one of the games im gona try the Krazie's ndure installer. But im kinda scared somthin might go wrong. I just have bad luck sometime. lol |

Krazie's installer is one of the best and safest way to mod your xbox
http://www.divineo.com/cgi-bin/div-us/dd-xb-sxxcdusb is that what you are talking about Krazies is really easy to use and it also makes you backup the eeprom first then you can back it up to the memory card and since you may be using the usb then if anything goes wrong with the softmod it can be fixed |

1. You can also make your own cable: http://www.xbox-linux.org/wiki/Xbox_Linux_..._prebuilt_cable
2. The gamesave exploit gives you ftp access. As as an added precaution, you could ftp backups of C drive and E drive to PC before you start the softmod install. Eeprom backup is the most important file to backup. 3. On PC, xplorer360 is a Windows program to transfer gamesave to usb flash drive. 4. Not all usb flash drive are compatible with xbox. 5. Making XBMC as main dash: http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=406656, variation of this depending on dash location (E:\dash or E:\dashboard), but always make sure you have eeprom.bin on PC and test the candidate dash XBE with the file manager by launching it first manually before you reboot.
