Hello all,

I've been working on a friend's Xbox. He has a 1.0 Xbox with an Enigmah chip with an old bios that doesn't allow HD swapping unfortunetly. Also, I can't write to the Enigmah chip so flashing the bios to something more advanced isn't an option. I'm trying to figure out how to lock his brand new 120gb harddrive so that his Xbox will accept it and so he can run Evolution X, XBMP, etc.

My first thought was to use ConfigMagic to get some locking code or something from the original harddrive, and then throw his new 120gb harddrive into my Xbox (with a slightly friendly bios) and lock it from there by typing in the locking code from the first Xbox. Or something along those lines. Now, I've never done this, so maybe my idea is impossible or stupid.

Anyway, how are you supposed to lock a new harddrive when you have an old bios?

thanks,
Krackato
