Hey guys ,....just did the jtag hack on a falcon.
Should I remove R6T3? or would a nwp (with switch) be enough?

Just get shot of the resistor - you'll never need it again (due to XBR having 'virtual' virtual efuses), and it'll stop you panicing everytime a game comes out with a new dash update onboard.

Or you can do the bridging method described over at XH as an alternative (before anyone flames me wink.gif )

can someone clarify this for me?? i have read that if you remove it you get a redlight error cant remember which 1 .... is this the same when using xbr ??

You'll only get a rlod IF you try and update an earlier dash to the official M$ NXE dashes - basically it removes the dash updaters ability to blow efuses, and thus the update borks....

XBR is fine however (and it's advisable to remove the resistor), as it uses 'virtual' efuses.

just use a very small screwdriver and pluck it off.

I wouldn't advise using a screwdriver or pliers. If you pull the pads up, and the traces you can do a lot of damage to your 360. It's easy to remove the resistor using the solder flood method. Flux the resistor, apply solder to the tip of your soldering iron, press the iron gently against the side of the resistor and push slightly. Then clean up the pads. Done, and no risk of knackering your 360.
