ive been converting movies and watching them on my xbox but the black bars on smaller tvs are annoying me. how can i fix this? and what program? im using encodehd

When watching a movie, hit "a" then scroll over to format and hit "a" to cycle through... fullscreen, widescreen, stretch, etc

i do that but i dont wanna miss stuff thats on the sides. what resolution do i put the movies in? right now im using
1280 x 720 and im getting full screen to vertical. but the sides have black bars...

is it the sides or top and bottom?

if the sides you have to change the resolution to what the tv and console's resolution are
