Freestyle Dash 2 Beta, v2.0b Rev1843 Options

I know alot of people have been waiting for this -- if you haven't seen, Team FSD has released a new version of their Freestyle Dash project (v2.0b Rev1843)

They are about to repack and release another version with a small bug fix, either update via FSD or from teamfsd.com.

I'd say a huge round of applause is in order for these guys. Let's see some more action on Kai now!!

    note to users:

         this is a labour of love, from a small development team. who have spent
    countless personal hours, away from our girlfriends, loved ones, lives to do this
    not for personal gain, not for money, not for fame, but for the sheer reason of
    we wanted something that was great, that was what we wanted. and this is exactly
    that. it is no where near perfect, or bug free, but we felt like it's enough for
    general use, and testing.

         this is a beta release, for everyone to test, we are pushing out new features,
    and code rewrites, and with that, bugs. so feel free to test, report bugs, suggest
    things, but only if you have logs, or are able to recreate the bug.

         there will be weekly builds released to general public following this release,
    and for our beta testers, there will be more frequent releases.

    release notes:

          we have added the ability to log into forums using your credentials. we will
    hash your mac address (md5) and store it in your profile, which is not viewable by
    public. it will be used to identify you for beta updates and other updates. if you
    do not log in, we will be unable to add you to beta release groups and other things.
    it is completely up to you, felt the need to inform you so you are not surprised.

          we have moved to a sqlite database for this release, so no more fsd2data, xml's
    are needed.

1) If you have a previous version of FreeStyleDash installed, you will need to make a backup and delete/remove it. (IMPORTANT)
   Do not run this from CD/DVD as it may sometime require write access to game:\

2) Extract FSD2-Beta.zip and send content to your XBOX 360 MU / HDD / USB.

3) Launch default.xex using a method that is easy for you. (Dashlaunch, XeXmenu, Etc)

  a) Add game path's in setting menu, and please read the next note carefully before complaining.

  *** NOTE ***

      On the first scan, please allow it to completely scan/download content, do not interrupt it,
      Reboot xbox, or try to play around FSD too much.
    
      If an error occurs it is best to start from scratch again until the first scan / download is 100%.
      All scans after the first will be fast/and stable.

   You can press R3 (Right thumb stick) to see what's going on in status bar, and view your ip.


There is a FTP server and webserver included with FSD 2.0-Beta, so feel free to log into FTP with xbox as user and password.
Webserver will be http://your-ip



This is labeled as a beta, and with such, bugs will be in the application, if you feel like you're constantly getting
bugs and able to recreate them or at least describe them with some detail, please visit our forums (www.teamfsd.com) and
post the bug/description along with the crash log. The forums will be used now for bug reports until we find a better way
to track issues.

I've just installed it, looking good so far, although at first I was a bit worried because it couldn't see any of my games. I configured my game paths in the settings and i found them all just fine. It's scanning and downloading the covers/screenshots as I type this

I should have said thanks for this in my previous post... so thanks!!!!!

Also for some reason my 360 freezes whenever I try to launch a game from within kai menu on FSD.... I press Y to Launch the game... and then it just freezes... anyone else having this issue?
