hey you all. i was wondering if the smartxx is going to be the best out there(modchip) and does anyone have a price you think it will be. also is the smartxx a good modchip for me. i want it to do everything!

The prices I have seen have been 43.02 euros on all the German sites. convert to US dollars is 53.45. WHich IS the price that they had been roughly reporting on the smartxx channel on quaknet. This does not include the LCD. SO maybe with the LCD jump up to the $70 you mentioned.

BTW: any 1,2,4 line ascii display with Hitachi or compatible controller can be hooked up. (means is hardware supported).

You are not hooked to special displays sold for smartXX.
