Just looked and there are some new replies for my topic. Unfortunately i don't have any updates for this project since soon after i posted my last update I moved on to a PC 360 case mod with an internaized dvd drive and started a new job.

I've recently got my new JTAGed jasper and am looking to use 2 2nd gen cpu heatsnks so I may continue work on this enclosure for it.

Nice... I've been looking for something like this, but I never thought of using a 360 case for it. Thanks to this, I can finish up my "faceless" 360!

UPDATE WITH PICS:

Connector Completed.

I used an old PCI bracket case cover for the mount plus the sata to esata adapter pictured earlier in the thread and a power connector off of a damaged ms28 drive for the power connector soldered to an old drive power cable. I shaped the PCI bracket and mounted the connectors on it then bolted it to the 360 chassis infront of the HDD area.

PICS:

Internal to External sata and power connector completed.

Shots with case on.

The blue jumper on the power connector is to stop the power led from blinking when the Drive is not installed since this is a jtag 360 the drive will rarely be required.

Next step is to clean up the enclosure and repaint it.

I would buy one of these...

I can't believe no company (besides the Xdrive) has made something like this... or maybe it's just not that hard to do..

I wanna remove my dvd drive so I can install a 120mm fan inside my box..but I dont wanta bare drive just sitting on my table..this would be perfect...

Im not smart enough to make my own though..maybe a regular dvd drive enclosure would work..

I have my eye on a few external enclosures, all depends on the colour scheme of the 360. I'm thinking of painting mine.
