Well I just installed Kreon 0.81 for my SH-D162C, rebooted, and still it doesn't recognize the disc in either My Computer or Xbox Backup Creator. All it shows is 6.84 MB as the total size. Is that correct? When I start to dump it starts off at 7.0 GB. Just asking this to make sure its not just me before I waste a blank.

Also, can I use this as a regular burner? I just tried inserting a black Dual Layer DVD and it doesnt show up in Xbox Backup Creator.

plse try to extract it should be 7.572.881.408 bytes (or 7,395,392KB) in windows explorer

The sh-d162c is a DVD-Rom drive, it is not a DVD burner.
